Last July I announced the logo I created for Stewart Redwine of Heart Initiative. Well, over the weekend, his new site went live!
The new site will act as a growing portfolio for all of Stewart’s projects, featuring the videos he writes and produces, as well as the monthly articles he writes for several publications. Please take a few minutes to check out the new site, as well as Stewart’s work.

The new site is powered by Wordpress, and built on the Thematic Framework by Ian Stewart. Also, many thanks to Kari Pätilä for his work creating the featured content plugin that appears on the homepage.
A friend spotted this large moth during a chess game we were playing at Caffe Driade in Chapel Hill.
I tried to get a shot that would more accurately show it’s size, but I still think it looks much smaller in the photographs. It must have been about 3 inches long, and it was very thick-necked. A beautiful creature.

This little worm played dead when he noticed I had taken interest in his movements. As soon as I would bring the camera near him he would freeze. For a long time!

This meant I had to hold the camera very still until he started to move again, which explains the camera shake.
Last January I tried my hand at animating my very own caterpillar. I need to make more time for these things!

This Big Cat has gone through Able Parris’s 7 Step Feline Training Program. It’s a rigorous, week-long course of reduction and resizing, placement and encouragement.
In fact, very few applicants have successfully completed the program. A chimpanzee attempted the program, but failed in 3 of the 7 steps.

I know she looks vicious, but trust me, she’s harmless. Please help me by sharing this Big Cat with your friends and family. She’s worked hard, and I’d like to see her rewarded. Thank you!

NOTE: No animals were harmed in the making of this desktop wallpaper.
This dog needs some rain. This alligator needs some help.

UPDATE: This is now a 1280x800 wallpaper at the request of @jonathanammons. (I did some rough Photoshopping to take the fold out. Ruff!)
Here’s a simple collage about how the world has been junked and turned upside down, but, with optimism, we can look forward to better days.
Yeah, that’s what it’s about.

It’s a little different from my Plan Perform Worry collage.
Today is my 30th birthday.
I welcome my thirties, and I am optimistic for what is to come. I am blessed to be married to an amazing women who encourages me in all I do. Incidentally, she is an amazing photographer, and has published a little surprise for me on her photo blog.
I’d also like to thank you, my readers, for your continued support.
Cheers!
In all the glory and divine
With every restless year to come
There is but one, this subtle kiss
Upon the lips of the one I love
Rise up and give it all you’ve got
Glimpses caught have now been gone
The love you have is the love you sought
For memory fades with every dawn

I may regret this later, but I recorded a couple of my old spoken word peices from years ago. The first is Crow’s Flight, the second is called Catalyst.
I’m surprised I still have these memorized, and I hope to get some better recordings of them sometime. If you are interested in hearing the low-fi traditional-style music I’ve been doing please check here and here or connect with me on Virb where you can download all of my rough home recordings.
