Anticipation: A Contemplation on Advent

I was invited to create this installation at Emmaus Way in Durham.

Over the course of Advent, I worked in a make-shift studio space in one of the storefront windows on Saturdays and Sunday evenings during church meetings. Each week the pieces would change and become more detailed, and since I was working in public I was constantly being asked what things meant or symbolized. Most interesting was others interpretations. All but one of the pieces I started was completed by the end of the month, which was one of my biggest concerns when I started the installation.
