One of the reasons I’ve been busy the last few weeks is because I’ve been finishing up the new site for Africa Rising.
Africa Rising is a non-profit organization in Chapel Hill that helps Westerners partner with effective, grassroots African organizations. The site, built using a content management system called SelectEdit, will be sort of a brochure for people interested in supporting African organizations either financially or in a more personal way. They will help you visit Africa or host an African. It’s kind of like foreign exchange for those of us who are not in school, although even students are encouraged to get involved! It was great to work with them. Below is a screenshot of the homepage, but definitely check them out as they are doing some cool things, and will be adding more organizations in the coming months.
