Digital Bug Box

People who know me know that I love bugs.

I can’t help it, I think they are amazing! Years ago, when I was a bachelor, I had a little bug box that my mother had given me, and I would collect little critters to put in it. I would like to point out that no all of the bugs I put in there died. I was able to keep some things alive for weeks before I’d set them free again. When I moved in with my dear friend, John Raux, it became a problem. At one time I had a pet Praying Mantis and an large unidentified spider. I kept the mantis in the bug box, and the spider in a jar. I fed them both moths that gathered around the back porch light. I was overly fascinated with them, and still am to a certain point. I evened named my musical efforts after my favorite insect!

Below are some recent photos of some friends I have met, but not captured, since I moved to North Carolina. I gave up the capturing of things until I can do it properly. Right now I have no decent home for them.

My photos are being resized improperly. Click on them to see the right dimensions, and please stay tuned as I fix the strange things going on around here since I upgraded WP.

And an animated caterpillar:
