Hear Me When It Rains

A song I wrote inspired by old spirituals. Recorded it out in the woods, but every time I hit record before playing a song my voice gets a little high. I get a bit nervous even though no one is around.

Something I’ll just have to live with, I guess.

Lyrics:
I’m going up to the mountain / I’m going to sing His praise
When this life is over, my friend / Your gonna hear me when it rains

My life’s been nothin but sorrow / Been followin me all my days
But one day Jesus gonna come down here / Take me to Heaven some sweet day

nice man! in my opinion, songs should have either less than 6 lines, or more than 50. so yours qualifies.
