The Record Machine Spring Sampler

My good friend, Nathan, has an independent record company in Kansas City, called The Record Machine. I made this cover for their Spring sampler.
It’s free to download, but that’s not all. You also get a hi-res copy of the cover to print out at home. I hope you check out his bands, and find a [...]

Seattle Vacation

Well, it’s finally that time. It’s time for a vacation.
Julia and I couldn’t be more excited to be heading to Seattle in the morning. Well, we’d be more excited if we didn’t have to get up at 4am, but oh well.
I’ve always wanted to visit Seattle, but I’m especially excited about this trip, because we’ll [...]

Perched Collage on iPhone Case

I had this made for my wife as an anniversary gift.
Also, another reminder that I really need a new camera. Sorry for the bad photo.

You can have your art/design printed on an iPhone case, too. I had the box in hand within a few days of ordering it, and the package it comes in is [...]

The Changing Imagination

Here’s another one from last night’s collage party.
If you’d like to project a story on to this one I’d like to hear it. Feel free to add your commentary in the comments.

Young Illustrated America Collage

These aren’t glued down, yet. I might use the pieces for something else, but I had this set up and the light was hitting just perfectly so I snapped a photo of it from my phone.
I would shoot a better photo of it, but I lost my camera a few months ago, and have yet [...]

The March Wallpaper Before It Was Scanned

I can’t think of a recent collage that didn’t start with paper and a knife. All of my work at least begins with a paper collage, even my wallpapers.
For instance, below is a photo taken by my phone of what the March wallpaper looked like before I scanned it and cleaned it up in Photoshop.

March Desktop Wallpaper

Can you believe it’s March already? Better yet, can you believe I started making these monthly wallpapers 2 years ago next month, and the only one I’ve missed was December?
It’s been a fun exercise for me, and I only hope that you have been able to enjoy them. Thank you to all of the folks [...]

The World’s Greatest Spokesperson in the World

On Friday, the good folks I work with and I celebrated the launch of our new campaign for Nationwide Insurance.
I was hired on in late August to work on the campaign, and it is most definitely the biggest thing I have been a part of.

Since the launch, I’ve done some searches on Twitter to see [...]

For Julia

Below is a collage I made for my wife as a Valentine’s Day gift, and I’m quite pleased with how it turned out.
Everything seemed to line up just right. Since this is all cut paper, there was no turning back if I cut something wrong. It’s not easy to cut these shapes exactly where you [...]
