Movie Stills

My wife and I don’t own a TV, and when we watch movies, it’s on a laptop. For a few month’s now, I’ve been taking stills of the movies we watch using the camera on my iPhone.
Below are a few favorites, but you can view them all on Flickr.

Kansas City: Aging Signage and Graffiti

Here are some photos I took while in KC a while back.
Click on them to view larger.

I love that “no parking” wasn’t enough so they had to add the symbol for it AND 24-7!

You gotta love 2-layer stencils.

I’m not sure what this means, but it was laying on it’s side. I’ve flipped it here to [...]

The Art of Stained Glass

I find these to be most beautiful.
I shot these at Duke Chapel. If you are ever near Durham I suggest you visit.

My first trip to D.C.!
So Julia and I have been trying to get to D.C. for our anniversary for 5 years now, and for some reason or other, something always comes up. This year we had given up until we got some last-minute news on Thursday that we could go on Friday. With less [...]

Photo Lenten Project

Here are a couple of photos I took to convey some of my thoughts throughout Lent.
They are part of a community photo project at Emmaus Way. You might remember that name from my Advent installation. I am glad Spring is here, and that the trees are flowering here in North Carolina. It’s a beautiful place [...]

Coney Island Polaroids

I’m feeling a bit nostalgic for the big city tonight.
I figure there’s no better time to post some old photos I took in Coney Island. When Julia and I lived in Providence, we would go to NYC frequently to visit friends and go to museums. I was in NYC in November to attend a Core77 [...]
